Blogger, an initiative of Pyra Labs based out of San Francisco, was launched in August 1999.It is basically a software, designed to simplify creation and maintenance of blogs.As a package it helps in authoring, editing, and publishing of blog posts and comments, with special functions for image management,web syndication, and moderation of posts and comments.

Started by three friends, the company was funded by doing web projects for big companies and some money flowing in through on-screen ads.The company faced a low phase in the initial years but the company picked up in 2002 followed by an acquisition by Google in 2003.

  • Language Support: Blogger is available in 41 languages including Italian, French, Arabic, Hebrew, etc. A special feature is provided for languages like Arabic, Persian to enable the regional users have Right-to-Left display and formatting.
