Bebo, which stands for "Blog Early, Blog Often" was started in January 2005 and was bought by AOL on March 13, 2008 for $850 m. Initially, it was founded by husband and wife Michael and Xochi Birch.
Bebo, however has no specifically unique features and is almost the same as any other social networking website available today.On November 1, 2007, Bebo announced plans to join OpenSocial. The Open Application Platform was then launched in early December 2007 with some fifty applications and currently hosts some hundreds.
Bebo, as per se, receives 22 million unique visitors with 11 billion page views and now reaches more than 6.1 million people alone in the US." Social Media Statistics
